First full limits of salmon!

Today I fished with Matthew and Uncle Wesley for salmon on the Lower Sac. river. We got a late start (started fishing after 7:30AM) but that did not matter. On our first drift with plugs, we hooked up with nice salmon. That fish was lost at the boat but on the next pass Matthew landed a fresh 27 pounder. After a few more passes and fish lost we headed upstream to the next hole. We caught fish in just about every hole we stopped at. The fish are in the river in big numbers already and it’s nowhere near peak season yet! Even at lunchtime when we anchored to eat lunch, we were rudely interrupted by a throbbing rod in the rod holder. We landed our 6th fish at 1PM and lost 3 more. Matthew played in all six fish (actually almost 7). What a great day spent with Matthew and Uncle Wesley. He was guiding us today and it paid off!!!
